Dr Walter Kahler
Founder & Senior Pastor
Walter Kahler is the Senior Pastor of Highpoint Fellowship, one of the fastest-growing churches in Montgomery County. He believes the church should be relevant, energizing, and fun. He strives to remove the barriers of boredom, unfriendliness, and fear so that people will experience a real relationship with Jesus Christ and not religion.
Ken Haffner
Executive Pastor
Ken serves as the Executive Pastor for HighPoint. He has been a member of HighPoint since 2006. He has worked in business for 30 years in the Houston area. Ken also serves as Regional Director for the Celebrate Recovery ministry.
Tammy Haffner
Financial Secretary
Tammy serves as the Financial Secretary for HighPoint. Tammy was employed by Shepherd ISD for 24 years before joining the staff at HighPoint Fellowship.
Dorri Welch
Childrens Pastor
Dorri serves as the Children's Pastor for Highpoint. Dorri has a Bachelor of Science in Early Education with a certification in Early Childhood and Speech Communication. Dorri has 11 years of experience working as an elementary school teacher and 12 years in childcare.
Connie Egli
Worship Pastor
Connie Egli is currently serving as Worship Pastor for HighPoint. She has been involved in worship ministry for 30 years and has a deep desire to see people led into the presence of God in a real and powerful way through cooperate worship and songs of praise and thanksgiving.
Thomas Laird
Youth Pastor
Thomas has been serving in youth ministry for nearly 10 years and joined Highpoint Fellowship in 2023. He has a genuine heart and enthusiasm to see students grow in their faith during such a pivotal time in their lives. Thomas is currently attending school to obtain a ministry degree. He is married to his wife Cassie and they have four daughters together.
Jennifer Jones
Middle School Pastor
Jennifer serves as the Middle School Pastor for HighPoint. Jennifer is a strong leader with a passion for teaching students about God. Jennifer graduated with a Bachelors degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin and has taught middle school for 26 years.
